Commodore Jerry Kyd

Reporting to Admiral Robert Tarrant Commodore Jerry Kyd leads a task force of up to 3500 commanding the UK Royal Navy’s deployed Maritime Task Group. Commodore Kyd’s next role will be to Command the UK’s newest and most expensive Aircraft Carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth and the UK Carrier Strike Group offering him a unique perspective on how Maritime GEOINT will serve deployed forces in the future. Challenges Commodore Kyd sees ahead include evolving threats coupled with rapid technological advances including cyberspace, communications and proliferation of advanced weaponry and these impacts on planning and doctrine.
