Shawn B. Stith

Mr Stith concurrently serves as the Chief of National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG) Capabilities and Integration and as the Acting Deputy Director of the Office of Geospatial-Intelligence Management.   On behalf of the GEOINT Functional Manager,the organization monitors GEOINT capabilities, programs, resources and activities, leads the development and implementation of community-wide policies, strategies, and planning guidance needed to maximize GEOINT program investments, and implements the NSG strategic management cycle as it supports program build activities.

Mr. Stith previously served externally for 30 months in 2011-2014 as the Director, Ministry of Interior Ministerial Advisory Group (MOI MAG) with the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan and led the totality of coalition efforts to build, reform, and sustain the capabilities of the Ministry of Interior and the 230K-person national security force that it supported.  He oversaw the development of end-to-end ministerial processes for human resource management, transparency and accountability, logistics, strategy and policy, financial resource management, intelligence, acquisition, and maintenance.  He similarly coordinated the activities of numerous non-ISAF international partners in developing organic Afghan capacities.  Inherent to all operational Afghan capabilities, he heavily leveraged and emphasized use of GEOINT analysis and products as a foundational element for success.
